About Me

Before establishing Wanrooij Advocacia, I developed my professional career through an ongoing commitment to promoting and defending human rights in Brazil and internationally, particularly with regard to issues of gender, diversity, discrimination and institutional violence affecting marginalised groups.

I hold an LLM in Public and European International Law from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP. I have worked at renowned law firms in São Paulo, including Veirano Advogados and Felsberg Advogados. These experiences have further developed my legal training in environments characterised by high technical and legal rigour.

Over the past 12 years, I have lived in Europe and established a successful international career in human rights, advocacy, and philanthropy. I have worked with leading global organisations such as ILGA World, Aidsfonds and Mama Cash. I have also been directly involved in United Nations processes in Geneva and New York. Additionally, I have collaborated with social movements and international networks dedicated to promoting justice, diversity and equality.

Destaque Especializacoes

In addition to running my own legal practice and gaining international experience, I have delivered keynote speeches at major global human rights forums, including those organised by ILGA, AWID, AIDS, CFCS, FCAA and EDGE. I have also taught sexual and reproductive rights at the KIT Institute, in the Netherlands, a world-leading institution specialising in the training of health, development and human rights professionals. Thanks to my academic and international background, I have developed a sophisticated, contemporary legal practice that is closely linked to key debates on human rights and social justice.

At Wanrooij Advocacia, I combine legal rigour and international academic research with strategic thinking, guided by a welcoming attitude, ethics and confidentiality. My work is grounded in values such as respect, attentiveness and non-judgement. Consequently, each client receives excellent legal representation and a safe space in which to address situations involving violence, discrimination and violations of fundamental rights.
